I am now officially "4 days overdue", whatever that means exactly. I have gone through the frantic phases of nesting and pleading with the baby to come out, peppered in with days of being catatonic (as much as possible with a 2 year old around) and sluggish. I have been so excited for this baby to come! I researched and re-researched natural induction methods to use after 37 weeks and how likely it is to go past your due date. We did shiatsu (thanks Kuya Joe), accupressure, chiropractic, spicy foods, walking and everything else that is recommended to make labor start.
Then I got to the point where the excitement was overshadowed by the overwhelm of the physical exhaustion and discomfort. I went through a week or so of almost frustration at this pregnancy that seems to take forever-I wanted it to end ASAP! I want to meet my baby!
It is so strange that the end of pregnancy can become so incredibly overwhelming. The last month or so has been really draining and physically uncomfortable. Now, this week I feel great and have finally made peace with fate and accepted the fact that I am not in charge of this process-not any part of it. I am ready to sit back and allow it all to happen! It's a relaxing place to be. Just thought I would take note of it :)
