She is Here! ...FINALLY!
OUR BABY GIRL HAS FINALLY ARRIVED! Luna Lucia Mae Aarden was born on November 12th, 2008 (her mother's birthday!) at 6:48am. She was 8 pounds, 15 oz (1 oz. short of 9 lbs.) and 21.25 inches long. She was alert, calm, and sweet. You can see more pictures here: www.theaardens.shutterfly.com

IT'S A GIRL!!!
We had sonogram at 21 weeks, and they determined that our little one is indeed a GIRL!
I bought my first baby dress immediately.
Sorry Gijs, Manny & Fernando... A mother always knows ;)

Boy or Girl, that is the question...
We have a Sonogram in 1 week (June 23rd), and we will find out the sex of the baby! We knew right away that we did not want to leave it a mystery. BUT: just for the record, I already know that it's a girl. Yes, Manny, a girl. Next week I will have a picture to prove it :)

In the Beginning...
The day comes along in our lives when something very big happens, that you know will change your life, but you are not quite sure how. That day came for us when we found out we were going to have a baby! We found out when Gijs asked me to take a test since I had been "moody" for a couple of weeks :)
Even though I knew he was just making the whole thing up, I decided to go ahead with a test. We got the big +, and here we are writing about it now. We wanted to keep a journal where we can keep all of you, our loved ones, updated as to what is happening with us.
Thanks for being in our lives, and embarking on this exciting journey with us!
