Genevieve's first 5 months...

She is amazing. The big thing that everyone comments about Genevieve is her eyes and how big, beautiful & communicative they are. She is a smily girl and loves to laugh and play. Her sister is the funniest person in the world and her doorway jumper is heaven on earth. She also loves her Papa and lights up as soon as he enters the room. She started rolling over at about 4 1/2 months old, and now she rolls all over the place! If I put her down on the living room rug and leave for a minute, she will be on the other side of the rug!

She has recently started showing a BIG interest in food-at right around the beginning of her 5th month. I made her sweet potatoes and she loved those. Gijs made a big oxtail soup and she enjoyed the broth too. She likes to sit at the dinner table with us and when she sees us eat she yells and kicks till we let her try it!
Its soo early, but she is really into it. I am just letting her taste things, and very limited things for now.
She is also better in the car now. For her first few months she (like Luna) would cry through entire car rides-no matter how long they were. Now she takes it as an opportunity to rest or flirt with her sister ;)
All in all she is fun, easy-going, sweet, charming, powerful & extra cute. (Actually we have enjoyed a lot of compliments about how cute she is, including "that is literally the cutest baby I have ever seen" from multiple people, "She is absolutely breathtaking" and my favorite, a woman who was semi-stalking us at the whole foods and when I reached her at the end of the isle she said "that baby is so cute, I can't even look at her!".
We like her and glad that others do too. We are so blessed with our sweet girls :)

Sleepin' with Papa

(2-7-12) When Luna wakes up at night, we have told her that she can just lay there quietly and does not have to get up. Since its night time, everyone is sleeping but she can lay in bed and sing quietly if she wants.
Last night she woke up and cried, so her Papa went in to console her and ended up sleeping with her till morning. When we talked about it in the morning, this is what she said:

Luna: "Mama, I woked up last night and Daddy slept in my bed"
Me: "Why didn't you just sing?"
Luna: "I didn't want to sing. When I woked up, my heart wanted my Daddy"

Luna: "I didn't like the puppet show".
Me: "There was singing, dancing and puppets! Didn't you have fun"?
Luna: "No"
Me: "Why not"?
Luna: "Because I wanted to be on the stage"....
