A weeknight Jam session 11/2011

At 3 months old, Genevieve is already grabbing at everything-it is amazing! She is like my 2nd set of hands. Whatever I pick up or have in front of me, she will grab and hold on to. When we had brunch at my Moms recently, Viva was sitting on my lap and took a potato right off my plate! I have to be careful about what I carry because she will throw my drinks on the floor and knock granola right out of my bowl. Busy body!

Genevieve's first 3 months...

When she was 1 month old we noticed that she was already holding her head up very well! She held it up pretty well right from day one-more than what we thought newborns could do-but by 1 month she had gone pro. We can lay her down on her belly and she lifts up to look around too.

She is also VERY communicative. Mostly with her eyes. In fact, everyone that meets her first comments on how big her eyes are (and beautiful:) and when they spend any time with her (even just a few minutes) they always comment on how she talks with her eyes.

I had quite an experience when she was about a month old. I had put Luna to bed and I laid down in my bed with Viva. It seems like it was the first time that I had actually laid down and really looked at her. The first month was so busy and hectic, and somehow this was the first time I was really in a quiet space and just looking at her! I laid down and had her on my legs and she was looking at me. When she had my attention she let out a huge sigh and smiled. She was telling me that she was so happy that I finally gave her the chance to talk to me! She had so much to say. We "talked" for the rest of the night until we both fell asleep-it was amazing! What a powerful girl. That's all I can say about that.

She is growing and changing. We love her more everyday!
